CCNA re certification status.

Over the past few days I have been brushing up on my CCNA knowledge. I have been working hard towards making sure I know the material inside and out. The tools of choice so far have been the Sybex CCNA Study Guide 7th Edition by Lammle and the CBT nuggets video training series for the Cisco ICND 1 and ICND2 exam topics.

So far I have been doing really good. I started off taking the Where do you stand Practice exam on CISCO’s website and I scored 89 on that practice exam. I took the same type of exam on the CCNA study guide and scored in the high 90’s.

The first 3 chapters of that book I have re-read and took the chapters ending assessment and I have scoring between the high 80s and 90’s.  I did have a small hurdle when I took the Chapter 4 exam and got a 70 on it. I reviewed the material and retook the exam several days later and I got a 95 on it.

I believe I am on my way to passing this exam when I take the exam. I still have about 10 more chapters to go through of reading and tests and I want to do more hands on labs using the test equipment I own. I want to make sure I have the knowledge of the material and a good understanding on how to carry out it in the real world on equipment.

For now t is time for me to get going as I have to wake up at 6:40 AM to get ready for work.
