Computer Repair
It has been a while since I have posted an entry here on my blog. Things have been quite busy and between Working full-time and School work, my free time has been pretty limited. Since The March 2014 session started I have been toiling away on Statistics and Computer Repair. Both classes are both interesting and challenging.
As an update I have passed both my classes for last session. I currently hold a 4.0 GPA and made the Deans List at DeVry. The Computer Hardware and Software W/ Lab class is a good class for those who are looking at learning how computers work and how to do troubleshooting and repair. This class is a refresher for me as it contains some of the newer technology that I haven’t formally worked with.
The class is pretty easy for me. I have been working on computers for 15 years and I have finished all the labs in the class and I am maintaining a solid 95%. Looking into the class material, I am not bored at all. I find working on computer fascinating and it is something I enjoy.
On the other hand, Statistics for Decision making is fighting back with me primarily on the quizzes. I do have a 91 in the class because I have been doing well on the labs and homework for the class. I do find the class interesting and the only problem I do have is the material on the quizzes don’t seem to fit what has been learned prior and that the topics are covered in the sections after the quizzes.
I am going to have to put more time into that class for me to keep my 4.0 GPA. I will do what ever it takes to stay on the Deans List. The deans list requirement is to have a Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher my personal goal is to be as close to 4.0 as possible as I want to be the best.
It is currently the sixth week of the session and I have the May Session of Classes already registered and my Financial Aid paperwork filled out. Next session I am taking English Composition and Intro to Scripting and Databases with Lab. The whole session will be 8 credits where as the max I have taken in one session is 7. I will have to put more time into the classes to make sure I do the best to keep my grades up and pass the classes and graduate on time.
The next item on my agenda is to get my A+ certification. Since I am doing well in the Computer Hardware and Software W/ Lab class, I will schedule the time to take the certification exam. The certification should raise my credibility when it comes to computer repair and something that employers look for in their prospective job candidates. It looks like I may be posting some A+ material here soon when I get the time to post it.
On that note, it is time for me to get going. I have work to do, people to see and learning to do.
